Schwarzkopf, H. Norman
(n. 22 ago. 1934, Trenton, N.J., EE.UU.).

Comandante del ejército estadounidense. Hijo de un general de división, egresó de West Point y combatió en la guerra de Vietnam (1965–66, 1969–70). Después de cumplir diversas misiones, ascendió a general de división (1983) y estuvo al mando de fuerzas en la invasión de Granada. En 1988 ascendió a general de cuatro estrellas y comandante del Comando Central de EE.UU., con operaciones en el Medio Oriente. Luego de la invasión de Kuwait por Irak en 1990, dirigió la concentración de 700.000 soldados estadounidenses y aliados en Arabia Saudita, y estuvo al mando de la triunfal operación conocida como Tormenta del Desierto en la primera guerra del Golfo Pérsico (1991), después de la cual se retiró del servicio activo.
